  • A Facebook account must be connected to Sona

  • Access to Sona Audiences data

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Connect Facebook Conversions Upload to Sona

  2. Click + Add Destination

  3. Select Facebook Conversions Upload from the list

Step 3: Facebook Conversions Upload-Specific Configuration

  • Enter a Destination Name for your conversion tracking setup

  • Select your Identity type from the dropdown (for user identification)

  • Choose your Account from the available Facebook ad accounts

  • Select your Facebook Pixel from the dropdown - this is the pixel that will receive the conversion data

  • Choose the Facebook Event Name - select the specific conversion event you want to track

  • Choose your Source - this is where you'll map your data fields to Facebook's conversion schema

  • Use Filters to refine which data gets synced to your conversion events

  • Facebook automatically handles data hashing for privacy compliance

  • Enable real-time processing for this destination (located under Record Matching): Check this box if you want immediate data updates

    • When enabled, real-time processing will override the scheduled sync frequency

    • Ideal for time-sensitive workflows and immediate lead follow-up

For general destination setup—like audience selection, sync scheduling, record matching, field(s) mapping, sync frequency, and saving—follow the core Destination Setup Guide.

Best Practices (optional)

  • Use Facebook's recommended identifiers (email, phone, name) for better match rates

  • Set sync frequency according to campaign reporting cadence and volume

  • Include Click ID for enhanced attribution where applicable

  • Segment destinations by conversion type for better performance insights

  • Use consistent naming conventions (e.g., "Signup Conversions - Q2 Campaign")

  • Include parameters like value and currency for purchase events
