Destination Setup: LinkedIn Conversions Upload

This guide walks you through connecting your Sona Audiences to LinkedIn Conversions Upload for automated syncing. By completing this setup, your LinkedIn campaigns will gain real-time insights from Sona conversion data, enabling smarter optimization and ROI tracking.

Prerequisites

  • A LinkedIn account must be connected to Sona

  • Access to Sona Audiences data

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Connect LinkedIn Conversions Upload to Sona

  1. Go to Connectors in the Sona sidebar

  2. Locate or add the LinkedIn Conversions Upload

  3. Authenticate and ensure the status reads Active

Step 2: Create a New Destination

  1. Go to the Destinations section in Sona

  2. Click + Add Destination

  3. Select LinkedIn Conversions Upload from the list

Step 3: LinkedIn Conversions Upload-Specific Configuration

  • Enter a Destination Name for your conversion tracking setup

  • Select your Identity type from the dropdown (for user identification)

  • Choose your Account from the available LinkedIn ad accounts

  • Select the Conversion action/event you want to track

  • Choose your Source - this is where you'll map your data fields to LinkedIn's conversion schema

  • Use Filters to refine which data gets synced to your conversion events

  • LinkedIn automatically handles data hashing (SHA-256) for privacy compliance

  • Enable real-time processing for this destination (located under Record Matching): Check this box if you want immediate data updates

    • When enabled, real-time processing will override the scheduled sync frequency

    • Ideal for time-sensitive workflows and immediate lead follow-up

  • Use email addresses as your primary identifier for the most reliable matching

  • Set sync frequency based on your campaign needs and reporting requirements

  • Consider using filters to focus on high-quality conversion data

  • Match conversion timestamps accurately to ensure proper attribution

  • Test your integration by verifying conversions appear in LinkedIn Campaign Manager
