Updated over a week ago

This guide walks you through connecting your Sona Audiences to Instantly for automated syncs. By completing this setup, your outbound campaigns in Instantly will always target the most relevant leads based on real-time Sona segmentation.

Prerequisites

  • An Instantly account must be connected to Sona

  • Access to Sona Audiences data

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Connect Instantly to Sona

  1. Go to Connectors in the Sona sidebar

  2. Locate or add the Instantly Connector

  3. Authenticate and ensure the status reads Active

Step 2: Create a New Destination

  1. Navigate to the Destinations section

  2. Click + Add Destination

  3. Select Instantly from the list

Step 3: Instantly-Specific Configuration

  • Instantly Notes: Ensure your Instantly list allows new contacts to be added automatically and that you’re complying with Instantly’s deliverability and opt-in requirements.

  • Enter a Destination Name - use a clear, descriptive name for your sync configuration

  • Select your Source - choose the data source you want to sync from (your database, CRM, etc.)

  • Select your Target - choose the destination platform you want to sync data to

  • Enable real-time processing for this destination (located under Record Matching): Check this box if you want immediate data updates

    • When enabled, real-time processing will override the scheduled sync frequency

    • Ideal for time-sensitive workflows and immediate lead follow-up

For general destination configuration steps—such as selecting an audience, record matching, setting sync frequency, field mapping, and saving—follow the instructions in the Destination Setup guide.

Best Practices (optional)

  • Use descriptive destination names like "Intent - Instantly Cold Nurture"

  • Test your sync with a smaller audience before going live

  • Regularly review destination sync logs to monitor for issues

  • Align Instantly destinations with lifecycle stages or campaigns for better targeting
