Install the Sona SDK manually
Install the Sona SDK manually
Updated over 5 months ago

This step-by-step guide will help you set up the Sona SDK for account identification and multi-touch attribution capabilities.

It is recommended that you manually install the Sona SDK directly on your website to avoid ad blockers. However, if you prefer to install the Sona SDK with the Google Tag Manager (GTM), then follow these steps.

Manually adding the Sona SDK to your website

Sona provides a simple, easy-to-use, and extremely light SDK (2 KBs) that can be added to your website to start de-anonymizing traffic and track customer journeys.

  1. Log in to your Sona account. Then, click on Settings > General > Tracking Pixel in the left nav bar.

  2. You can configure a CNAME to further improve tracking effectiveness which would load the script from your own website domain instead of a Sona domain.

  3. On the Tracking Setup page, you'll see options for With Form Capture and Without Form Capture. If it suits your needs, Sona can gather your form data and send it to a destination.

  4. Share the SDK code with the person or team that can place the code between the <head> and </head> tags of your website.

That's all there is to it! Once the SDK is successfully implemented on your website, Sona will automatically begin tracking events and visitor data.

If you have any questions or issues, please reach out to our [email protected] for assistance.

Note: You MUST place the SDK in the section of every page you wish to track.
