Key Concepts

Understanding Data Mapping

  • Data mapping connects fields between your existing company profiles and external reports

  • The connection relies on matching unique identifiers between datasets

  • Accurate mapping ensures data integrity and prevents duplicate or mismatched records

Best Practices for Attribute Selection

  • Choose attributes that directly support your sales and marketing objectives

  • Prioritize data that helps with lead scoring, segmentation, or personalization

  • Avoid importing fields that are rarely used or don't add strategic value

  • Consider how the new attributes will integrate with your existing workflows

Data Quality Considerations

  • Ensure your identifier fields have consistent formatting between sources

  • Clean data before importing to avoid errors or incomplete matches

  • Regularly review and update your attribute mappings as your data sources evolve

  • Test the integration with a small dataset before full implementation
