Key Concepts / Best Practices

Contact Journey Fundamentals:

  • A contact journey tracks all touchpoints a customer has with your brand, from first awareness through conversion and beyond

  • Each channel (Streaming TV, Direct Mail, etc.) provides different data points that contribute to the complete customer story

Configuration Best Practices:

  • Timezone Consistency: Always use the timezone where your primary audience is located for accurate reporting

  • Attribute Naming: Use clear, consistent naming conventions for attributes (e.g., "email_source" rather than "src_em")

  • Field Mapping: Double-check that your source fields map correctly to avoid data gaps

  • Regular Review: Periodically review your configuration as your marketing channels and data needs evolve
